As close and tight to Whitey (Stylish Clover) as you can get

I haven't advertised Cube on here for a while now. Not sure why I let his post fall off the edge, but it's time to bring him back into the public eye.

The jury is bringing back a verdict on Cube's ability in the stud pen....and the verdict is GUILTY AS CHARGED. Cube is producing in his own likeness. Good natured dogs that can trail, have a great mouth, and have coon in the tree when they put it in park.

I'm not going to blow him up...but know that he has spent time in the winners circle. He wins by getting struck as soon as he smells a coon, and trailing that coon to the right tree. He was a UKC Grand Night Champion before the age of 2, and did most of his winning in the winter with the leaves off.

I've allowed not less than three different folks take him to their house, and hunt him under their conditions....Ask them if Cube is a coondog!

Here is the deal.....Starting in 2014 Cubes stud fee will be $150.00.....and when you have a live litter and provide me proof that you have paid up the entire litter in the performance program...I'll give you your $150.00 BACK....so if you pay the entire litter into the performance progarm, your stud fee is FREE!!!!!!

Here is his pedigree, and I'll post pictures of him and point you to some video in another post later.

Mark,

All is good, just wrapped up in work. Been working 12 hour shifts since last January.....doesn't leave much time for anything else. They went and made me a night time plant manager, so I have a little free time when nobody else is awake.

I LOVE that litter of pups. I haven't said much about it cause I'm being stingy with them. They are really nice pups and I'm going to keep them to myself for a while till I figure out which ones I want. They are LOUD and Proud.....that much is for sure. They are getting to the age where it's about time for them to start making trips to the woods.....

I'm really impressed with the Bear pups in my area, and I'm in Love with the Hank dog...hoping I get one that sounds like Uncle Boom, trees like Momma Skunk, and trees coon like Uncle Hank!!!!!

Be a good choice stud for the Lipper and Bozo fans.... STACKED
Bred good.
Does Cube throw alot of Ticked up pups or there white stay pretty clean. Dumb ? to ask on a Clover stud, but am very picky to what I am going to cross this Sweat It female on.
She is straight Black and White with a Cherry Red Head and White creame colored muzzel. LOUD LOUD mouth not to mention, and LOVES to split. She is an accurate coon treeier. Looking for an Outcross with Lipper and Bozo stacked in a pedigree like Cube. Cube is located in Indiana?

Storm99,

It isn't a dumb question at all. I know that clover hounds have a reputation for being ugly, all ticked up etc....but I don't find that to be true.

I can show you pics of Cube's pups, and right off the top of my head I can't think of one that has ticks anywhere. Now these are the ones out of my breeding stock....can't promise that an outcross won't bring ticks with the female's side.

Cube himself doesn't have a tick on him anywhere. His pups are clean, where they are white, and where they are black, they are black.....

For being **** neared White
He is Clean.
I like that in a Clover Stud. Throws good Clean White and Black Pups. Well the dam is off some of my own breeding stock, and havent seen anything ticked up yet.

That will be a whole lot of Clover.

The Patch dog was a littermate to Stylish Clover. I really liked the Stylish Clover X Hard Knockin Stylish Hayes crosses....they were well balanced dogs.

I figured I would do one Clover Cross for the Clover fans.
I'm a Trackman fan, I like them Blanket Back and Clean.
But I'm gonna give Cubed a shot.
Be next year prolly around March or April

She will be bred to Rough Mtn. Joe Next Sunday or Monday.

Carl, No...I've never even considered that.

I guess I lo.0ok at coon hunting and breeding dogs a little different than Mr. Ball. It isn't a business with me, it's a hobby. It is an expensive hobby that I've dedicated a lot of time and a lot of money in. I breed for ME, and not for anyone else. I'm more than willing to share the excess of my breedings, and I'm happy to help someone out who thinks that a dog of mine may match up well with their female.

But if you think about it, I pretty much give my pups away for cost as it is. I'm not getting $1000 a pup. I've used the litter of Skuna River bear pups as an example on here recently. Right now, I have $380.00 a whack in those pups. I will ask $400.00 each for them when they are for sale. If I were to load up in the truck and make a 1000 mile circle to peddle pups...I would simply be paying to make it easier for someone to get a pup from me out of my own pocket. I'm keeping a couple of those pups for myself, so I'll have close to $800 in the pair that I keep...I'm not getting rich doing this.

I have offered fresh chilled semen on any of my stud dogs for no extra charge over the stud fee except the price of shipping to anyone that has issues with travel. I'm paying for the collection, supplies, and have to take time to collect, package, and ship the semen...so I guess I see that as doing my part.

I have driven hundreds of miles to meet folks half-way to breed females, only to have them not show up, and not even have the decency to call to tell me they can't make it, I've taken dogs on trade and never gotten papers on those dogs..... I'm not a rich man, so I don't have the time or the money to promote these dogs in the same manner as Mr. Ball.

And then there is the fact that it seems to be accepted that folks with stud dogs have money. I'm a poor boy that went for a over a year without a job. I simply can't afford to take money out of my pocket to make it "easier" for someone to own one my pups, and I can no longer afford to supplement other coon hunter's hobby.

Don't mean to make this sound harsh at all, but I don't want anyone to think that I am making money doing this. I am offering to make the stud fee on Cube FREE.....by simply having folks pay up the performance fees on the whole litter of pups....that is as far as I can go to helping others out after I pay to ship them semen.....

Carl,

I hope you know that I wasn't dressing you down at all.... I just want everyone to know that I don't have enough money to supplement other folks hobby.

My buddy Ed Casper lives in northern Ohio, and I live a half tank of gas west of him in Northern Indiana. Most of the places that I outlined in my Bucket list turn out to be "one tank trips" from either my home, or from Eddies home. The thought process is that we can get to any of those places on one tank of fuel....a night in a motel room for each of us, and we should be able to hunt about three nights on a shoestring.

Russ Bellar built a million dollar lodge to host folks and has his fingers in multiple businesses, collects millions of dollars of semen from his breeder deer herd each year. I don't even belong in the same league as Russ!

If it helps any, I have a son and daughter-in-law that live in Elizabethtown KY....I can take Cube along on one of my weekend visits to see my Grandkids without it costing me an extra penny!

No harm, no foul...like I said, didn't mean to make it sound harsh....

Joe,

I live 20 mins from E-town, give me a holler some time if you bring a hound down and we'll hook up for a hunt if things work out.

Joe

Do u have semen stored in indiana?
This is my thought?
If so I would like to buy a couple of breedings if so.
I ended up getting the female and am going to breed her to the Joe dog that is a good friend of mines. Next Cycle I want to cross her up on Cubed. Should be a good cross for those that is wanting a true clover pup. Be clover 3 times right in front of your face when u open them papers. She should cross well, she is that clover looking hound. She's got a big horn too.
I will call you, but was just wondering if the Stud fee would be the same if I was to buy the chilled semen. 150.00 till performanced is paid up when I was to use it.

LOL! Not much flat here where I am but east of me and southeast of E-town it's just about like central IN where I used to live, maybe a little more rollin...big difference 12-15 miles east! More coon over there too, more creeks and crops!
