Bruce Conkey

Bruce, I run 6 dogs on my Alpha 100 with 6 TT 15 collars. Last night, one of the collars dropped a signal by showing the question mark on the hand held. This morning, I updated, changed antennas and unplugged battery and plugged it back again.
Any ideas?????
Thanks and Adios,
Gary

.

After you changed the antennas and did other main. this morning is it working now or still showing question mark?

If it is still not working do this. Take it and another collar outside and turn them on about the same time. As you probably know the lights should go from a steady flash to a triple flash with very slight pause. I said to do two collars so you can compare the flash as a lot of people can't tell the difference. Once the one that was working picks up compare its flash to the one not working and see if it isn't single flashing. That would be the GPS antenna or small rectangle box on top. Generally the wire that runs through the rubber cracks or gets damages right where it makes the transition into the battery box.

Just wanted to pipe in - I just had the exact same problem with one of my collars 2 nights ago- it is only giving the single blinking light as you just described. I tried deleting / re adding, and also ran updates but no luck. I will check the wiring mine also this evening to see if that may be the issue.

Bruce, did as you suggested and it never picked up. I tried to Master Reset but after getting a tone after the first press of the on/off button and light turning from green back to red, never got another tone. I am guessing that the collar needs to be replaced. Do you have rebuilt ones in stock?
Thanks,
Gary

.

If you call Garmin you can send that one in and they will get you a refurbished one that looks like brand new. Their number is 1800-800-1020.
At the present time we are out of stock of refurbished ones.

My DC50 quit working tonight. Doesn't seem to be hooking up just a steady single blink. What's all this business about master reset and don't use Mac computers ? This is the first problem I've had of any kind

Garmin DC 50 Factory Reset

If the DC 50, T 5, TT 10 or TT 15 collar
To perform a master reset*:
Ensure the device is powered off
Connect charging clip to collar
Connect USB cable to collar
Connect USB cable to power source (computer, AC wall adapter, vehicle charger)
Ensure collar light is active to confirm connection
Firmly press the Power button 4 times (each button press should produce a quiet tone from the collar)
Wait for light to turn green then red
Disconnect USB cable and charging clip from collar

The collar has now been reset and is ready for use. If the collar did not reset you may want to try the sequence again and ensure you are hearing the quiet tone after each button press.
*While it is safe to perform a master reset on a MAC with these collars, it is not safe to update the software on MAC. Please update the software of the collars using a Windows based computer.

Sorry Donnie, the power of suggestion got your collar.
Bruce, I got Garmin on the phone and after 10 minutes of trying what they suggested, they decided that I needed to send it in for a rebuilt one.
I went ahead and ordered me two more of the TT 15 collars as I am going to be starting a couple more pups this winter.
I am a huge fan of the DriveTrack because of the way we hunt out here. Roading big ranches, Indian Reservations and Public land. I am having problems of turning on my DriveTrack from time to time, seems the switch is not working to turn on. It always works fine to turn it off. Anyone else having this problem?
Thanks and Adios,
Gary

Thank you Bruce.

Gary I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later.
