Favorite Time of Year

The cool, crisp fall nights have started to hit here and I LOVE IT! The bugs are gone, the farmers are starting to harvest and those woods in the middle of the sections are once again accessible.

The coon are moving pretty decent getting fat for the winter. The dog seems to operate better with a pep in her step in the cool weather and senses the coming season.

Be safe and get out and enjoy this great hunting weather!

Hobo,

Don't worry in this land of "Thin Coon", they are ALL still here for you! Gotta save them for you guys.

Hit a new patch that I hadn't hunted before last night. Took her about 2 minutes to get treed 30 yards inside the woods on a walnut. If she has to take that long and go that far, not sure I will go back to that place!

That coon must have had a complex. I was looking all over the top of the tree for him when I seen him climb up the limb into the light like a rock star!

Don't worry, unless they cover her, they won't have to tree with her. She hasn't covered anything yet! I don't think it will rub off on them......

I ain't cuttin loose with no dang Redbone, but I will turn loose with that 1/2 walker dawg you're huntin.

You better tell your dogs to follow her then. She looks like a Redbone in the front half and a walker from behind. I hope your dogs don't get to bragging on their show titles...it might give her a complex! She would look good with ribbons on too.

At least she's got an excuse why she don't have ribbons....they won't let her play!

it was cool here last night until I walked a mile straight down and back up to get bam and a pup I was burning up when I got back to the truck and can hardly walk today but I bet I go again tonight even tho no light is needed its bright at night right now

One of my hunting buddies keeps getting embarrassed but he just keeps coming back for more. He said that he just likes to see a good Redbone work. Mr Tarbaby, didn't I see you post something on the interweb a few weeks back about getting embarrased by a Redbone in a nite hunt?

You wouldn't like it brother exspesially if you had 2 minutes left in the hunt and they made you cut when you had them beat out of meaness and they been at the club an hour when you get back. I will just take my lumps if they out call me if I finish my dog I won't have nothing to hunt anyways granny's been a Grntch for 6 yrs and its 14 hrs to any big hunts. I am going to take my time with Fred if I finish him ok if I don't ok just want to enjoy it.
