An old friend of mine, Carl Hanselman, is wanting to know if any body, has a dog, that goes back to Spring Creek Pete. He said, he had hunted with him several times, and he was the real deal, any where, you turned him loose. And he has a friend, up in Mich. that had two real nice females, out of Pete, but got both of them killed on the road, before, he could raise, any pups.

So far, the only known hound, that goes to Pete, was out of Pete JR. and that is the mother's side, of Grnnitech Set-em-up Rex Allen.

They would be old had two out of Pete Dad picked one female up at World hunt Conway Ark in 78 she was prob the best pleasure hound he ever had handled the best real tree dog.other was out of Pete and a Tenn rambler female she was average at best be hard to find anything with him up close in three or four generations we never raised pups out of the two we had.

I've been looking in some of the old breed books, Pete, was out of Nitech Davis and Green's A. Bill, Bill was out of Wagner's Gunsmoke Duke, Bill's mother was Gambles Queen, she was out of Logan's Black Major, and Gambles Judy. I run into one, well known dog, Grnnitech Cypress Creek Rock, his mother was, Rambling Julie, she was out of Spring Creek Pete, and Lambert's Diamond Julie. Rock was Grnitech Wheeler's Hammer's sire, who is in Grnnitech Whitacker's Black Smokey II's mother's side. There was a female in North Carolina, her name was Carolina Dollar, she was out of Pete.

Pete, is also in the Northern Rex dog, for no more than the dog was bred, he made a hell of an impact, on the black&tan breed.
