Thats an interesting bit of imformation. I believe just as there is a reproducer's list, there should be a "top cross" list. What's sparked this question is I have a GrNtCh Boomer x GrNtCh Ruby female, Joleen, and I was thinking about breeding her to Jet V Again (Hillbilly x Lady). There are a few hounds in each of their respective pedigrees that tie one another together, such as, Tree Slammin Lady and Tucker's Boomer's mother, christian's blue gretchen, were littermates i believe. Joleen's Grandmother, Poison Ivy, was out of Hillbilly. Im sure there are others but those are the relations that stuck out to me first. With that being said, breeding a high percentage cross to another high percentage cross would be a correct train of thought, right? So if the cross were made with V again, or another stud from another high percentage cross, could you more or less expect most all the pups to "make it"? Im sure this has been tested before.
