Shocking him was an option we discussed but the trainer took him out again and when he started getting aggressive he whooped him and after that he was very skittish about going back to the tree. He's coming back early and I'm just going to give him a break and hunt him alone for a while.
There are a few things that cause this, one is he is just aggressive around a tree. Another is he is too excited and just doesn't know what to do with all of it. One more is fear, this one causes more aggression than any other. He cant understand whats going on but wants to be part of it. The problem is he is afraid of the other dogs barking right next to his head. His first response is to back them up. I would suggest putting the dog up and letting it mature. Make sure its socialized well with other dogs when its put up.
