What male and female are throwing the BIG BIG motors, drive, heart in the blues?

I can only think of 1 male that I've had experience with pups from that threw it in his pups. And that's Hagerman's Smokin Blue Jake.

I know about some others that throw big hunting dogs, but haven't hunted with any pups from them. I know they're out there but might just be not talked about because they're not the right "line", or "color".

i made this cross over a year ago and most of the pups i think have a pretty good motor. i might add they have the mouth to go with it on the one i know of.

What kind of motor are you talking Pam? I'm talking one that will get 2 miles if there nothing moving. And doesn't take all night to get there. One that will cover ground in a hurry. I haven't seen one out of Leon and never hunted with him. So I don't know the style he is or what he's throwing.

I'm looking for one that hustles everywhere it's heading. Like 7+ mph on the Garmin. And doesn't quit till he's back in the kennel. The more ground they hunt the better their chances are of getting treed with a coon. And the faster they cover the ground the better. I like a track dog first then a tree dog. Not a great population around here. I have a couple spots that have a good population but for the most part thin coon.

You hear about some of these blue dogs that are around out back behind the barn. But no one ever shows up to a hunt with them. Look at the other registries. Out of all the dogs in the big hunts not very many blue dogs compete.

I've not hunted with pups out of them all but jake consistently throws pups that are gonna go hunting doesn't matter how far they're gone when you cut them.

We have a male named Yeti out of the Leon and Ann cross he is a get gone in a hurry dog that is going to be 2 at the end of May and has treed over 100 coon no matter how far it takes he will get treed

I've hunted with multiple dogs out of Stillwater Farms Blue Legend and differnt females that had that giddy up. They may have varied in other traits, but giddy up was a common factor.

My little young male 2 yrs old, seems to have taken after his sire in the drive area. Last hunt I put him in Harmon said he traveled 13 miles. Actual hunt time with time outs etc was roughly 2 hrs 30 minutes. I can't remember what the garmin showed on his average speed for that night though. But normally his average speed is 3.4 mph to a little of 4 mph. Furthest he got from us that night was 3/4 mile & probably averaged staying bout 600 to 800 yards from cast.
Haven't bred him yet but I'm hope'n he continues to pass along the drive trait I've established in my dogs

The one my buddy has here is full of energy coming and going . I laugh everytime she comes back in . She never walks unless she's on a lead . Don't matter if she's alone or in company .She was definetly a track dog first . She's almost two and just really started staying treed .Shes got hunting on her mind when she leaves . Gets her mouth open just right .I believe she gonna be a nice one .

Dual Grand PKC silver Champion ($6000+) won Mosleys Blue Boomer better known as SMOKIN BLUE BOOMER. I would bet u can't find one living right now with more drive and coon treeing ability than BOOMER. He is at my house here in Arkansas and is up for inspection, checking oil, and treeing real live Arkansas coons any night of the week.

If your looking for a pup with a great personality, drive that will make some people want to stay home, heart and brains, get yourself a pup out of Leon. And don't forget that the mother plays a big part in the pups personality too. I, along with my son own yeti . The Leon by Ann cross. He is a natural and all that tyman has said about him. Leon does not often get the credit he deserves but trust me he is the real deal. And Pam if you ever consider breeding Ann to Leon again I'd love to try a female.

Brummy will flat cover some ground in a hurry even at almost 12 years old. I've seen some that might go as hard and fast as him but none that went harder. In thin coon he will make your life miserable. He will not come back when you cut him loose.

The Blue Oak dogs really have a motor that doesn't stop. They are kicking dirt up at the beginning of a hunt and at the end of a hunt. Jake and Joel are good honest people. Their Jet dog has thrown some really nice hard hunting dogs, however their Gunsmoke dog has a similar percentage (less pups) and is crazy loud.

There is another male in sw pa that has all the motor you could ever want. His name is Bash's hard rock gauge. His owner/handler is a nice young man. You can look him up on the stud dog page he is more than willing to show rock in the woods.

Yes, I know Jake. That I know of he doesn't have any pups on the ground yet. Jake knows the kind of dog I'm looking for. And we've had some conversations on the phone about it. He has or had a young dog out of my old blue dog. And he told me straight the pup wouldn't work for anything more than at local level. Which I consider a win seeing as though it was an accidental breeding. Young gauge is the style of dog I'm looking for, they don't come along often. If they did they'd be easier to find and easier to buy.

Maybe I ran him with my walker too much, LOL...but I have a little male out of Piazon that can really get gone quick. He also don't much care what everything else is doing. He is Echo bred on the bottom. He gets out there about 800 yards or so, that seems to be his "hunt area." I have hunted a lot of dogs until I could tell they were tired and had enough, but I cant get this one to that point. He is always ready for more.
He was a late starter, he acted like a big puppy for a long time and I guess in some ways he still does, so I didn't push him. I am glad I didn't and had no idea he would blast off like he did. I don't know how long it will last, but he handles excellent for as big as he sometimes runs...I can always call him in and get him when I need to. Might take a few minutes to get back, but so far he always finds me.

I liked the ones I hunted out of Paizon but there won't be many out of him anymore. And as far as Leon goes I haven't hunted anything or seen anything out of him go. The same for anything out of either Boomer. There's not many blue dogs around me. And 3-4 miles an hour is average speed for most dogs to handle. The extra hustle ones don't come around often enough IMO.
