Plott people have a different mind set than what you may have experienced with other breeds. We know we are on or towards the bottom of the totum pole in popularity, but when you have a good one and beat those big mouth go through the country other breeds its a feeling like a great accomplishment , because it is. A top dog from all breeds are capable of winning the same as any other breed. Winning with a lesser popular breed is just simply a bigger accomplishment. This is simply my opinion from hunting a Grand Nite ch. female Plott when I was 18 yrs. old and Now at 66 I finished a Plott male to Grand Nt. just this past fall. Plott people put up with alot of snide remarks but it can be worth it all when you walk out of the club house holding the trophy.
