If you want a hang around your neck type stopwatch I would suggest you google "Accusplit Pro Survivor". I think I found it on ebay, but pretty sure Amazon has them too. It is easy to use, digital and takes a easy to find and change battery. The numbers are big enough to easily see. It's not back lit, but who hunts without a light anyways??? I have had the same battery in mine for two years.
If you want one on your wrist, I like the Casio Tough Solar Illuminator. It is back lit and it works great, some kind of solar charged thing that never needs a battery. If they still make it...they drop and release new watches pretty regular. Numbers are about half the size of the Accusplit. Neither watch is expensive.

.

I think the most popular one sold to coonhunters is the Ultrak 440

They are in the $20 range and they work well. At most of the major shows this is what most venders have on their table selling.

There are some a lot more expensive but for the environment you have these in the Ultrak 440 works well.
Measures up to 10 hours
Presettable pacer
Presettable countdown timer
Time, day, and date
Four daily alarms
Hourly chime
Water resistant
5 year lithium battery

I might also suggest getting 1 with a countdown timer too.

Yeah, I don't use the countdown, but the Accusplit has it. Goes to zero with or without an alarm.
