It shouldn't affect his hunting ability, but What affects are you trying to cure by neutering a 9 month old?

I've read that you shouldn't neuter a dog before they are 1 year old. Doing it earlier causes certain bones to grow longer than they should. The dog should also mature with all his hormones contributing. I spayed all my dogs and I can't tell any difference.

Have done several, and have seen no adverse affects, one nice thing is they go hunting and dont have to piss on everything in sight.

From my experience it does not effecting there hunting drive other then making them more focused on hunting, because there no longer interested in females. I'll never keep another male intact unless #1 I really want to use him for breeding and #2 he doesn't bother with females at all when he's hunting.
