Garmin

I'm looking to buy a Alpha 100. Being 15 years old it isn't easy to make 800 bucks to buy one new. Would you guys recommend buy new, or should I buy used? Just wanting to save a little money if possible, and I love coon hunting and don't wanna hunt without a tracking system.
Thanks

Nothing wrong with 220 for tracking. Whole lots cheaper and will serve your purpose.

I've thought about getting something like that, a 220 or 320. But the only downside is I'd like to have the shocking and tone capabilities as well

You might check out the new Dogtra Pathfinder. It has all the features you're looking for and is half the price of the Alpha.

Dogtra

have not tried Dogtra but its getting good reviews. I can tell you have had and have every garmin made. And my Alpha has been in twice for repair. This time they have had since november, Garmin states will not return till March 24. Garmins customer service is terrible...... I will not buy another one!

I think I'll look into the Dogtra. I've watched a few videos on them and they seem pretty sweet.Only problem is you can't use them in a comp hunt
