Astro 320 question?

Dad has been having issues with an Astro 320 with it dropping signal. Last night I checked for updates and it's says it had the latest software. He is running 2 dc50 1 40 and a 30. It's been acting crazy. Example the other night we had 2 dogs at 40 yards and 2 at 400 it lost all communication every dog had ? For them. I'm mean it's losing communication with them and u can see the dogs. I really think it's a handheld issue. Any ideas are appreciated. But is there a way to 100% reset the handheld? I mean like delete all track hunts archives and put it back like it just came out the box new. Last night I found tracks were 98% full I deleted them and tried a few things it did better but still not right. Example Dc40 the longest range I could get it was 400 yards then ? After that. D.C. 50 900 yards and notta after. D.C. 30 750 yards then notta... this was with all collars laying on top of a vehicle and us on an Atv in wide open fields on a farm very few trees between pastures. Any clues as what I might try before giving garmin a call. Hand held and all collars have long range antennas.

Sounds like a antenna problem on the handheld unit, replace it,,see what happens, could be broken wire in it,,,but could also be broken wire inside unit where antenna screws in,if it was over tightened

.

Probably a broken connection below the sma connection or possibly the antenna. A master reset is performed by holding the menu button and map button down and pushing the on button. If you did it right you will be asked if you want to erase all user data the tell it yes.
