When we need possums more :

Instead of slick trees at least if there is a possum your getting minused for somthing.

Instead of getting accused of babbling you can ask them why their dogs won't open on a cold possum.

There's always a chance in a pinch you can get sombody to plus one when you need it most.

Never under estimate the power of a possum through he all things are possumble !

Hahahahahaha yep. But hey don't forget though if you tree a opossum there's a Coon higher up. I mean it happened at the world hunt, on several trees.

Side note. I'm going to have to use the cold opossum track in my next hunt.

back when fur was bringing good money i sold 127 possums for 5 bucks each netting 6 hundred 35 $ .54 coons at 35 bucks each 1890 $ .2017 $ bought me my first car at age 16 .not bad for a 16 year old kid hunting a year old english dog and a bob tailed border collie .these 2 dogs have been my measuring stick for the last 36 years . threw the years ive be blessed with some nice hounds but none that measured up to ole ralph and star .if they opened 3 times on track you could cock the pistol .got a old walker female gave to me 3 months ago out of stylish jake .ive made 26 trees with her 17 possum 5 coon one den . zero slicks .i take her on short runs on weeknights just to have some fun and dont want to burn the midnight oil cause i have to go to work the next day .ole maggys hunting style is go out in a circle for about 30 minutes and check back in a quality i like in a dog but seems lacking in these new style dogs most have today .

The few possum Chuck caught in his fox or coyote traps sold quicker than coon we sent to the NAFA fur auction the last 2 yrs.

I can remember $7.00 a possum I skinned every one of them and for that I would do it again matter of fact I would be really dedicated to it lol!!
