Uwharrie Coon Hunting

With most, actually all of my private land consumed by deer season for the rest of this month and next I am considering taking a trip to Uwharrie one night. I posted on this subject about a month ago with little response but figured I would give it another shot before burning a night and trying to hunt any of it. Any NC hunters hunt much on the Uwharrie gamelands ? We are thinking about riding over to the tract between 109 and Badin later this week and giving it a try.

There's coon there, big woods, no crops plenty of acorns. Most of the creeks are dryed up, you will need a dog with go power, you could hunt all week an never hunt the same spot, keep in mind it deer season so don't leave a dog running loose after daylight.
