Vaccinations and medications

As I always try to give my dogs the best care I was wondering what everybody else does for vaccinations and medications? I always do a 10 way vaccination at home and take them in for their rabies. I also do the wormer and heart worm prevention myself. I was wondering if the lymes vaccination was worth the money or using frontline was the better option or both? And if there was anything else out there for vaccinations anybody recommends? Just trying to give my dogs the best care without wasting money and something unnecessary.

I take care of just about all my dogs health problems myself, I do have to take them to the rolling clinic for their Rabies shots because you can not give them yourself here anymore, The Lyme's shot i am up in the air on because i had two friends loose their dogs this year to Lyme's that had the shot given to them at their Vets office and they said the company said the shots were bad and they did pay the Vet bill although they lost the worth of the dogs, I keep myself and dogs sprayed down good with Permethrin and have not had any problems with Ticks or other bugs .

I have the vet give whatever he thinks they need to horses and dogs. He suggested Lyme's vaccination because alot of dogs and people in this are getting it. They also thought I should give the dogs heartwarm med. We don't have it here, but she said in case we take the dogs somewhere that does have it.
