has garmin got the issues fixed about the map lock yet? i need to update my unit but dont want to if i'm going to have to deal with this issue and be on he phone with them after it will not come on. thanks

I think you best answer would come from them. Call them at 1-800-800-1020 We update them everyday for people and very few have this problem. When they do it is aggravating.
