Bomber's mother was out of Rowdy which makes him the great granddaddy of T-Top Raven and puts him in all of hers and Bomber's Red Wire's offspring. Mark Marshall is the Rowdy expert.

I always thought Smith's Red Rowdy was out of Fudge's Bone Chopper and Looper's Red Tuffie. Bone Chopper was out of the famous Ramblin Red Ace x Ramblin Red Kate cross. Tuffie was out of Huntin Hollow Major and Fearless Fly.

Sounds like you are talking about a different one.

Same Rowdy, aren't Bomber and Rusty actually Ace bred? And isn't Ace actually Timber Chopper bred? Maybe you would be better off talking to Mr Rob Farr, Terry Hayes or Danny Barrett.

Harold Hoffmeister bought Rowdy from Dan Knight. Dan Knight bought Rowdy from Eather Smith & Travis Thomas. Rowdy had a lot of go in him. Harolds kennel burned and Rowdy died from burn injuries.

Harold had bred his GrNiteCh Hoffmeisters Red Brandy to Rowdy once when Eather Smith owned him and twice while Dan Knight owned him and once while he owned him. After Rowdy died Harold bred Brandy to GrNiteCh Machine Gun Jack who was a son of Rowdy.

Rowdy had a lot of go i was told he changed hands a lot because he would go to deep
At one time every dog on the reproducers list but one or two went back to rowdy most of them showed his daughters
The best two red dogs I ever seen was off off btk and his brother raddilin kid and rowdy daughters cookie and tonto
Robbie Turk collected tonto and we was going to use some on moonlight Kate but it was no good tonto and Kate was bred very similar
Rowdy was a reproducer of reproducers exspecially females

History

I am amazed at the responses I have gotten off this hound!!! Rowdy is in my 6 and 7 th gen several times thanks for all the answers!! I also talked with Tim Figg last night to get a little more info on my female Reba, he said she is very heavy Ace bred. I bred her to Spencer Smith's grnitech grch Doser last year, and trying to cross on him again, getting great feedback on pups! Thanks again for all the info!! And Richard I hate it when I have to admit your right!!! lol

Oh my goodness, Machine Gun Jack was directly out of Rowdy?

I was just repeating what Mr Marshall told me a long time ago. He is the expert on breeding these dogs.
"Reproducer of reproducers", he and I had that discussion a long time ago. Rusty Reds top reproducing (my opinion) son, Bomber was out of a Rowdy daughter. You have to look for sons and daughters of a reproducer of reproducers if you want to continue a "line". One hit wonders won't work.
That is one of the reasons that I liked Rabble Rouser. He was a reproducer of reproducers. So were Rusty Red and Bomber. Rusty Red and a Rowdy daughter produced Bomber. Bomber and a Rusty Red X Chief daughter produced Bell. Bomber X Bell produced Rabble. So Rabble was "predetermined" to be a reproducer, somebody did their homework.

So, Mr Hoffmeister started his kennel with several good "foundation" females and then bought a couple of stud dogs?
