Yadkin, Mike and your Possums.

I have leaned one thing in coonhunting. As soon as you tell someone that something has not happened it happens,
Last night on a cast the hunt time ran out but the dogs which hadn't been together all night teamed up and drove a track in there and came treed. While the guys were going to get the dogs, I was at the truck texting my partner down state. I told him that in about a dozen or so hunts so far this year, no dog has run a deer or treed a possum. I was bragging on about 6 or 7 different dogs that have hunted here this year.
When they got to the tree it was a big oak grown into some other oaks. There was a deer feeder there and a camera just snapping away taking the dogs pictures. The guys decided to point the camera to the ground so they wouldn't get on it till they got their dogs. They snatched them off the tree and then readjusted the camera. On a low hanging limb there was a possum setting. lol I would bet there was a coon up there also but they didn't spend the time there trying to prove that. So we have to go with the possum seen. lol
Muzzle Loading season starts today. I hope the guy in the stand there kills a big one this morning or coonhunters will get blamed for running the deer off.

I bet I've saw 15 possums last 3 nights. I saw a baby one run off so fast. I started to turn my pup loose on it. That thing was quicker than any ol coon.
