Another Black Eye for a Major Event. Sorry to hear that.

It is a shame that people spend all year dreaming of the world championship and then many put hard work in place and turn those dreams into reality and attend the world hunt. Some do well and advance while others have a positive experience and gain experience for next year. Then all the hard work by the KC and all the hard work getting there generally goes up in smoke over some foolish things that no one could dream of happening. It is like the odds are stacked against hard working people anymore to either run or place high in an event without some shadow of doubt being over it.

I am proud of everyone that worked hard to make the UKC world hunt what it was. Always sorry for the controversy that seems to be popping up more and more these days. All we can do is start dreaming about next year and I hope all those dreams include having a top notch event that is free from all this drama.

Well to me if you ( -kc ) isn't going to do nothing about what happened and I'm not saying they aren't . Then theyre accepting it . Sorta like small local hunts , you're not there to see the problem with someone in a nite hunt . People reports it and correction actions taken if needed . But to me if no actions taking here would be accepting no offense was committed. Therefore why not let him judge again . But if he's not used to me that would be like saying he did wrong but nothing will be done .

Hope -kc gets it straight and take a strong stand here !

I told my son, who played high school, college, and professional baseball, if you can't accept an official's decision, find another pastime. There will be good ones, bad ones , honest ones, and others.

This is the Truth.....!!!

It's evident that UKC had confidence that this Judge was capable of Being the Judge.........If he said he seen the coon, then he seen it. Until proven other wise.

If UKC truly feels this , then let him judge again in the future ! But if they don't , that's telling me something different .

This is sadly the nature of the beast anymore. People want to make as much money as they can, and it seems by any means necessary. Owners that pay high school kids to hunt their dogs while they sit on the couch, and then puff their chests out when something actually wins. Then push their kennel name to make a few bucks. If everyone actually hunted for the love of the sport, you would see much less bickering at hunts, on the forums, and more pats on the back for actually raising and training a fine hound.

Now the ultimate goal seems to be to buy a female with a title breed it to a male that may or may not have a title yet, have a litter, pay the neighbor kids to hunt them, then pay a few entrance fees and have some other people hunt them, and then act cool when your dog wins. Very rarely do you find those people in the finals at big hunts, but be sure the are present acting overly important.

It's just human nature to take something fun and try to make it about money.

I'm glad I just pleasure hunt, I don't have these problems. If the only way you could be a coon hunter was to be a competition hunter, I would quite.
