There wasn't a question about the weather. I would give the weather a 10 this year.

One thing that wasn't in the survey. The Bench Show.
The layout is great, however, once gaited the dogs all went behind their bench and exhibitors were setting their dogs up directly behind the benches blocking the view of the audience (and I'm sure the judge at times as well) and then putting them on the benches when instructed.
I did notice that Kathy Shorter's ring did make people bring the dogs in front when instructed and then benching them, which was nice and how it should be done OR spacing the benches slightly more and having exhibitors set up between benches so everyone still has view of the dogs.

Had a blast again this year . The weather was perfect . I had non hunting guide that knew nothing about what it takes to guide . It was the worst guide I've had but oh well it was still fun as always .

Had a great time and no complaints but 2 suggestions, a little more space between concrete barriers and if possible leave the gate with the RV by it on main road open for easier access in and parking to return score cards by the kitchen building without the mess in and out by the main building.

I kinda wish they would change it to the weekend before Labor Day. Being a family man, sometimes it's hard to make it for more than a day or so with other Labor Day events going on around home. I think the turn out may actually be better the weekend before Labor Day. Then you could run your slam hunts from sun thru Thursday after autumn oaks. Then people could spend Labor Day weekend doing other things. Plus your woods wouldn't be beat down from a week of Slam hunts before. The people that hunt the slams that take a week off are still gonna hunt the slams regardless. I just think that you would have more visitors and hunters the weekend before due some other family obligations on Labor Day weekend. I'm sure that there are hunters with family's that feel the same way. Plus you may pick up a few entries on the weekend before due to the $$$ hunt that goes on just a few miles down the road. It's just a thought from someone that juggles Autumn Oaks and other Family Labor Day weekend events.

I attended for my first time this year . I think it was an awesome gathering of houndsmen and women. The only way i see to improve this event would be to add more dog events ! Water races , field trial , treeing contest ,etc. Just a thought
