T5 not connecting

I recently purchased a t5 for use with my Astro 320. I have updated my handheld and also the collar. It won't connect to the handheld. It says cannot connect to device. The collars comes on and triple blinks like it has satellite reception. Still nothing. I also tried doing a master reset, and disconnecting the battery and leaving disconnected then plugging it back in. Oh I also changed the antenna's with the tt15 I have. I'm at a loss here!

I've seen this same question about the t5 asked before,,and all they had to do was update the handheld,,I would try updating it again and see if that works,,maybe it didn't update correctly the first time,.
If that doesn't work,,get ahold of Bruce Conkey he is very intelligent on this stuff

.

Try linking it up manually. It should go then and after that will probably work in auto.

When you turn on your T5 I am sure you are aware you turn it on two different ways. A quick push of the button and its on or hold the button for 3 or 4 seconds and it comes on in the pairing mode. It the pairing mode you have a flutter flash and some beeps out of the collar. Try both modes.
I am almost 100% positive you can add it manually but you need to add it to another device first to get the ID number if you don't have it.

Bruce I talked to Garmin yesterday and turns out I had them stumped about the T5 also. The only thing they can think of is that the collar is still linked to an Alpha and it's blocking the collar from pairing with an Astro seeing how they track on different frequencies.

I bought it used on Ebay and yesterday my friend tried linking it to his astro that I know is updated because he has a T5. He couldn't get it to link to his either so I have no idea what the collar number is.

It's okay I bought the collar because I am planning on getting an Alpha anyway. Just means I get to buy the Alpha a little sooner!

When you updated the collar. Did you use a Windows computer or Mac. I would do master reset on collar and update again with Windows computer.
