Cruz

I saw this morning where Mike Huckabee referred to Cruz as Lyin Ted

He's a big a** crybaby. I'd never vote for him as long as live. He may as well run as Killerys vp.

Sad, Cruz was my hard # 2 for a while, but apparently he drank the kool-aid he is now in the same column as the Bush's, Clinton's and Obama's the traitor column of professional politicians. S/FI

Cruz

I have no way to prove it but I feel safe in saying that if you're not going to vote for anyone in this election who has not kept their word there is no need to go vote

Have you noticed, it doesn't matter how horrific the Democrap nominee is, the demos get behind that person. They may despise the candidate, but they always come together, endorse, support, unite and join together in their attacks on the Republicans.

The establishment GOP has been and continue to be more critical of Trump than they are of Hillary. They pout like little children, pick up their toys and go home.

If Trump looses Cruz will have succeeded in getting even with him. I was very disappointed in Cruz last night. I voted for Cruz in the primary, but never again. He tried to walk it back a little today, but couldn't even suck it up "for America" and support his party's nominee.

It's time to get behind Trump and do all you can to elect him this fall......

So let me get this straight it's ok for Trump to spew anything out of his mouth about cruz's family no apologies or anything. Now just because he won't endorse Trump he's bad. Cruz also took an oath to uphold the constitution against all enemy's foreign and domestic, I'm not convinced Trump will uphold the constitution and I don't think Cruz does either. We need some Godly leaders in this country bad and I'm not convinced Trump is one, I pray I'm wrong. For if God is for us who can stand against us.

I've read where a number of guys said on here if some guy follows my wife or my daughter into the bathroom they will get what's coming to them. But Cruz chooses to stand on his principles and defend his wife and father. It's not just about his wife and father either, he doesn't agree Trumps principles and really I don't either. I get it people don't want Hillary in there, I don't either it's sad this is all America has to choose from! We can do so much better.

Cruz attacked trumps lifestyle and crap also. And he did it first but whiney baby can't handle the retaliation. Personally I would have just slapped the taste out of his Canadian mouth had I been trump.

I will just say this. Cruz should have picked more wisely his big donors and superpacs. Now I know you will say they can not communicate with each other. That is true to a certain extent they can not communicate with each other once they declared they were running. These superpacs were already ready to go before he declared his run for the republican nomination. Now by law they are not to have any communication with each other once they declare there nomination, but as we all know the politicians would expect you an me to follow that law, though they think they are exempt from those laws and do not apply to them. Cruz's superpac went after Trump's wife and her credibility by showing a photo shoot of her in her younger years as a model in an ad in the Utah primaries which was then televised all over. Trump left Cruz's wife an children out of it up till then. Cruz superpac went there and Trump hit back and rightfully so. He isn't different then the other Ex Nominees that signed the pledge he proved that at the convention. I never expected Kasich or Bush to honor that pledge if the elites didn't get there pick and the people did. The difference is Cruz promoted himself as different, man of his word, an outsider non establishment, an a morel ethic Christian. Well he proved all 3 wrong at the convention and showed everyone that it was only about himself. Newt gave him an out in his speech and he has latched onto it to save his political career in the senate but he will never ever again get the votes to be the republican nominee for president. Rubio would crush him now and so would anyone else.

There is no doubt after Trump's acceptance speech that the people have voted for the right republican candidate to be President of thee United States of America!!!!

Ted's pledge was to "support" the eventual nominee, not specifically to "endorse" the eventual nominee. There was no discussion as to what level of support was necessary to fulfill the pledge. Ted's speech was great, focusing on issues that are important to conservatives. He looked, in my opinion, very presidential. Remember, even if all Ted ever does is quietly cast a vote for Trump, he has fulfilled his pledge of support.

How about a public outcry for Trump to unite the party by publicly apologizing to Ted and his family and asking publicly for their forgiveness? Wouldn't it be worth it for the good of the party, for the good of the country? Oh, I forgot, he doesn't ask for forgiveness, does he?

I won't say that is the only mistake he made. Like Huckabee said if he didn't want to keep his promise then he should never have accepted the offer to speak. When your own delegates from your home State are po'd at him will tell you all you need to know...

I agree. There's no question about Hillary being a politician. Trump is also a politician. He's played the political game for most of his life (money/support for favors). Just because he has not run for an elected office does not mean he hasn't been actively involved in politics. He has been.

This election is not Hillary vs. Trump. It's "not Hillary" vs. "not Trump".

I still say if Ted's endorsement is such an important thing as to cause controversy, Trump needs to publicly apologize to Ted and his family. Does Trump need Ted's endorsement to win? If not, why make a big deal over the endorsement. If so, Trump should swallow his pride and ask publicly for forgiveness.

Actually Trump didn't say that... He said he saw a picture of Cruz's dad and Lee Harvey Oswald on the cover of the Inquire. The media & anti-Trumps said, Trump said Mr. Cruz was party to killing JFK. Trump never said Cruz was involved or that he even thought he was. He said, he saw a picture of them and that was it. If he said more than that, it was in a different interview than the one I saw.

Trump says he saw or heard something and the media goes nuts and runs with. The problem is people don't actually listen to what Trump says, instead they listen to what people say he said.

Trump is a master at saying stuff (without giving HIS view on it) knowing the media will plaster him all over the news.

X2

It may not help, but it certainly wouldn't hurt if he had Cruz endorsement.

Thanks, Tom. I hear all this talk about Ted committing "political suicide". Shouldn't voters be more concerned with his performance as an elected official instead of whether or not he tows the party line? I thought the Trump crowd was all about being anti-establishment.
