Slow to settle on tree

I have an 18 month old walker female that has only been hunted about 15 times. She has never said anything on a track but will get treed on her own. The problem is that she will take 10-15 minutes to settle on the tree. Will she get any quicker? Should add that when she settles she is a good hard tree dog. Would really like her is she would make her mind quicker.

Put at least 90 more nights in the woods on her and some fur in her mouth .If you know anyone that has a trained dog hunt her with it till shes had a few knocked out to her .15 days and treeing coon on her own is a good start ,way to early to pass judgement ,more time in the woods should do wonders ,

A dog of any age with only 15 nights in the woods is green as grass. The dog is learning. Learning takes time.

I'm willing to give her time just wondering if anyone had experience with this and if the dog wound up being a pretty good dog. I Do hunt her with an older dog but she is pretty independent.

If she has the goods at the end be happy and keep her in the woods. Like it was said above patience is a virtue

I've had a few that started that way......all of them came out of it after some fur in their mouths. You just need to build up their confidence a little.
