June Bloodlines Mag

I got mine last night. It sure is nice. It looks like we have a whole new crop of Redbone Studs to pick from now, Shine, Turkey, Mac, G-Man and Grizz. They all had very nice Ads.

Good issue...but why no Legacy Series piece?
Are they not going to do that anymore?

Good looking ads guys, good issue. Maybe someday I can have something worthy of running an ad for.

I agree, all the ads looked pretty darn good.

However, I was fully expecting something from you Richard. I thought surely your new book would be ready, or at least a spread of them good looking pups with ole Boone.

Adam, do you really think that there is anyone out there who does not know who Boone is? Every time that I take him to a hunt, the guys in the cast always say, "is that Boone". I think that I saw his picture in the new Bloodlines. You just have to look a little closer. I hope that a couple of his offspring will have their picture in the magazine this summer.

Well I was about to say it's likely a waste of money to run an ad when both man and hound are famous.

Shane, I have always liked the "Legacy Series" also. It is a great reference tool that I use a lot. It is one of the reasons that I keep my old Redbone issues. I would have loved to see one on Billy The Kid. Maybe Corey didn't have enough time to put one together.
Adam, some call it "babbling" but I learned in marketing class that word of mouth is the best form of advertising and the cheapest. That is important when you live on Social Security.

Ya...They usually do it on dogs when they turn 25...and Billy the Kid turned 25 in April. Guess he won't get his chance to be part of the legacy series. He will drop off the list next April when he is no longer 25.

The bad thing is the younger generation don't know where a lot of the greats started from but the older generation knows the reproducers from the past can go back 30,40,50 years and more.
