Independent dogs, a lot of winding ability.

They want to be accurate, some would say to a fault.

Not the earliest starting or earliest maturing bunch of dogs in the breed, although that doesn't apply to all of them.

Most in my experience track before they start treeing real solid.

But then there is likely more diversity in what gets called Echo than there used to be.

I consider them to be an excellent outcross for some of the more tree happy blood lines.

Just one man's opinion.

I have hunted quite a few of them, and am long time friends with one of the men who was instrumental in developing this line.

I bred my old Jewel bitch three different times, and two of those times it was to an Echo bred dog.
