Oh my goodness, there are only five more weeks to decide which dog to take and get him/her ready. I had better get busy.

It's a Redbone hunt surely you can have a red dog ready in under 2 weeks. I normally hunt mine about 3 nights before I go. Lol. Just kidding. Good luck to all.

Mine ain't naturals. I just take them in the shop get them a nice bowl of feed and bowl of water so they comfortable. I then get my easel out and draw a picture of a coon so they know what they are searching for. Sometimes they tree something that don't look like a coon, but I blame that on my drawings not being clear.

From there I draw a few trees and show the coon going up one so as they know were the witty fellow hides. I then draw a picture of a dog barking up tree to show them what to do when he goes up the tree.

I spend a few minutes on creek crossings, trying to show dog importance of only crossing creek were it does not get over my waders. We also work on going the right direction instead of just opposite of where the guide wants them to go.

From there I put up some pictures of off game and draw an X over them.

We finish the sessions listening to Eye of Tiger and watching Rocky run up the steps so they can start to imagine what winning feels like.

We then put hands and paws in on circle like a ball team shout and head out.

This training method may not work for everyone but it has helped me. It saves me a lot of steps in the woods avoiding personal injury from tripping or crossing fences to teach them.

I have a stud dog session also where we start by watching Lady and the Tramp.

Billy, could you send me a couple of those pictures? I never was very good at drawing. That is why I have to use Ted. I especially need a picture of a deep creek with a big X on it. I had to walk all of the way around a big slough that mine swam a couple of nights ago. I needed Danny to go get them for me.

Danny,in just a few short months the book will be out. It's titled Run With Billy.
Richard,I will send some pictures. At the moment I am trying to get these training techniques patented. I will send pics after all the legalities are done. This method is sure to make me rich so I don't want to just send out this valuable training tool without protecting my financial gain.

If patent comes back by ARCA Days I plan on having a booth set up to discuss it in further details with those interested. I may sell franchises on the process and allow others to train dogs under my guidance. I will expect a percentage of income from the program and there will be a two week class one must attend.

In that class we will go over the program some, but mostly we will eat snacks, drink cokes, and watch Gunsmoke while we talk about dogs of yesteryear and how there are no real coondogs in today's world. We may even poke fun at one another and try to hunt at least one hour a night 3 nights out of the 14.

That sounds like a lot of fun but I don't know if I could hold up to hunting 3 nights in 2 weeks. But I could sure hang in there for the talking about dogs of yesteryear. I get wore out just remembering them. I sure have gone through a bunch.

I am on fire.. you have got me wanting to give up farming and invest my strawberry patch on this venture.( Of course many things have made me want to give up farming). Richard this could be our ticket to a life of leisure. Billy I cant wait to attend your first seminar.

Danny, the seminar will be life changing. No doubt in that. Your eyes will be opened to new ideas and techniques only the dally lama knew until recently. One strawberry patch plus three easy payments of $19.95 will get you in on the ground floor of this amazing training program which will take you to a new level in competition coon hunting. This technique has been used for years in champion racing guienna pigs and at last we can use it with our hounds.

I went with a John Henry X Flush pup tonight that was looking pretty tough. If he can hold it together till ARCA Days I think Ace of Hearts will make a stout debut.

You've given me enough information, I don't think I need the book. But where do you buy that easel thing?

Wait one more question.

I've got a young dog that "was" a Natural ( I thought). Lately she runs Deer until she crosses a possum, then locks up treed on possum. Over and over this happens. I want the dog to only run coon and tree coon.
Could you just draw the necessary picture and send it to me? I'll pay you plenty if it works. I promise I will.

Darrin if your sending money you need to send it to me instead of Billy. I am in charge of accounting. Billy's methods and pictures are amazing and have been proven by HIM. Its going to take a sizable deposit and if it doesn't work your guaranteed not to get your money back

Darrin,it seems your dog has the right concept just the wrong way of going about it. This type scenario you are describing CAN BE FIXED.

However,it will take more than proper drawings.

First, I would have to have a visit with her. Seems that the problem could lie within her cerebral cortex. I would need to analyze her and figure out what has caused her to think the way she does. Weekly therapy may not be out of the question.

A few things I would start with would be while feeding her to ask questions and watch her response( as you do this more and more you will practically hear her talking)

Ask her if she feels good, mentally healthy
Does she ever feel depressed or full of rage
And,the one I thing see causing the most problems today, and a fact we can't hide anymore, does she feel transgender

She may be striking the deer and treeing the possum to express how she is feeling. It sounds to me she is confused,so transgender could be the culprit.

Send Danny the money,BUT PEOPLE PLEASE QUIT SENDING MONOPOLY MONEY THIS IS THE REAL DEAL STOMP DOWN TRAINING TECHNIQUE.

Darrin,it's tough in the beginning to get them to open up but just continue but don't be too pushy. This could bury those feelings even more.

Danny, since I am now the proud owner of a pigeon river pup, do I get a discount on the training program. I think she is headed the right way, since she's already treeing the rooster. That might be better than treeing on a hotdog Winnie. That trangender stuff bothers me a lot. I done had one transformed from a male to female while I was at church.
