Preacher was a nice dog, went hunting, nice mouth, good treedog and had a coon when he treed.

I didn't hunt with his mother but I was told she was nice and they had hunted a couple generations of her ancestors that was coon dogs. They thought enough of her to pay a stud fee to get pups out her.

Troy had Preacher at his house for a while and I'm sure he would answer any questions you have if he can remember the details... It's been several years since Preacher was whelped.

I think Crockett goes back to him.

Is that why Yall called him Juice? Cause he could move a track fast. Was that kind of track speed there before Echo? I always figured Echo was where all that track speed come from. Crocket can sure move a track even at 8 years old. He has always run a track differently than the others. I've loved him since he was a puppy and told Larry he was special from the start and still believe it today. It's in the genes!

Juice and Echo caught a big boar coon on the ground the last night I hunted juice.

Juice was a old dog when they were hunted together but juice could hang with Echo.
On nights coon wanted to run they would catch a couple a night and it didn't matter if they was together or by themselves.

Juices sire was a big time winner and sold for 10,000.00 during the time you could buy a top hound for 12 to 1500.

Allen Stonecipher, the famous walker promoter kept Clyde for several years. Clyde was a winner.

I've heard Crockett is a nice hound.

Juice got his name by having a lot of juice when he was young, he had enough go for 3 dogs. He was tough and he could stand up to all night hunts every night.

I sure like him and tell whoever told you that I said thanks for being kind.

I have a daughter of Crocket that can go hard all night till morning every drop. She will get in there faster and deeper with a coon than any I've ever hunted with. The crazy thing about her though it she can suck one out of the air and fall treed right in front of you as well. She has great balance and I'm going to try and go after the triple crown with her next year. His offspring are very independent.

Voyd I appreciate your part in the hounds that make up what we hunt today. You, Austin Cox, Larry Hamlin, Lonnie Smiley , Troy Sheffield, and Rod Rose had some good ones that are behind all the dogs I hunt and will always be. Thought I would give all involved the credit they had due. Not very often do folks get appreciated for their part in something but I truly do.

Heath talked to the man that had this dog he said he died about a year ago he was 16 . He was a 100 pound dog

preacher was a nice size dog but I don't think he was a 100 pounder, maybe 80 pounds. It's easy to think dogs are bigger than they actually are.

Mr.Harp didn't Daniel and Amy Smith have part in make up of your dogs as well, isn't Crockett out of Pop-A- Top Jr.?

No, Austin and Larry breed and raised those dogs. Daniel hunted dogs for Austin and was made partners on the dogs he had. Larry is the breeder of Pop a Top Again. Larry was also the breeder of Crocket's mother out of Rambo II and his female. Daniel did a great job hunting Blue and they won all over, but the list I mentioned were the ones doing all the breeding behind our dogs. Austin gave Pop a Top Again to Amy to show with the condition that he could breed females to him when he wanted, but like I said it was Austin and Larry that made those crosses. Austin is where the name Razor Ridge come from and he still gets on here under that name.
