It's amazing how we pay our dues and the ones we pay dont do what they should, especially with something that can not be replaced.

Never

My tanks on a route, they refill and check every 3 months. If it's valuable you take complete control of your semen, don't pinch pennies.Own your own tank.

If your tank man is sick, I drive 20 minutes, multiple places can check and refill.

Unfortunately yes. It was a tank full of dairy bulls. The route man that was responsible for filling the tank didn't fill it when he was supposed to. I am fairly sure he was ill at the time and just thought it would be ok till he got there but it wasn't.
Not much u can do. It can and does happen.

I've heard several horror stories about some vet offices letting semen ruin in the past.

NO ONE will care for your investment better than YOU will yourself.

Because of hearing about so many stories like yours I decided to not put all my "eggs in one basket" so to speak >>>>I have several straws from dogs that I have divided up in my buddy's tank as well just in case of an emergency. My tank is huge so it will last for a long time, plus i'm on a route. I also check the level approx once every two weeks . Its my tank so it's my responsibility, your situation is obviously different. Sorry for your loss.
