Has anybody ever had or seen this line of walkers hunted on bears? If so, what were they like? Have my eye on the "Sting" dog that is currently being promoted. Thanks for any replies

A good number of dogs out of Uncle Lee turned into outstanding coyote dogs.
I picked up 1 out of the line to try on bear, but an unfortunate accident while coonhunting prevented her from getting to training season. What interested me were the reports of running dog speed and stamina along with cold trailing ability. Grit would be my concern...

I know yrs ago when i was a young man i spent every waiking minute at Steve's house and there was alot of guys from west virginia and several other western states that would come up to Steve's place in Illinois to breed there good bear dogs to Uncle Lee and they said they loved them. I would set around like a kid in a candy store listening to all the stories these fellors would tell about running bear and beating on the trees with rocks to make the bear come down to just run them again. Personally i thought they was nuts, hahaha but im not a bear hunter. God Bless and good hunting to all.

No, I don't know of any. May be something mixed in with plott/redbone?Bob Kravik from down by Madison may still have some???
