America's democratic form of government is supposed to be, "by the people and for the people". Simply put, "the majority is supposed to rule". So, unfortnately, as the majority changes so do the laws. The make-up of the American people has changed and with it their values, ideals and morals. It only stands to reason that since the majority rules, then the laws and rules are going to change. Should the majority still rule or should "old school" conservative Americans only rule? Maybe we shouldn't let everyone have a vote. Maybe naturalized citizens shouldn't be allowed to vote. Maybe your grandparents should have to be born in the USA before you can vote. Maybe the voting age should be 30. Maybe only property owners should vote. Maybe California residents shouldn't be allowed to vote. Maybe anyone with a mental problem shouldn't be allowed to vote. Maybe if you can't get a concealed carry permit or own a firearm, you shouldn't be allowed to vote. Why do we just let anyone and everyone vote? Why don't you have to pass some sort of test to vote? Why are there no restrictions? I mean, voting is one of our most important resposibilities and they will let just anyone vote. I have heard that they even let dead people vote in Chicago.
The majority can rule as long as those rules don't deviate from the base of the constitution. My 1'st thru 10'th Amendments in the Bill Of Rights applies at all times, in all states, no matter who's in charge. Anybody doesn't like that, they can scream with no results, or they can move. I still live in the USA.
