We have had a couple decent nights this week but now it looks like single digits and windy the rest of the week. It sure is hard to keep a dog tuned up for the winter classic in this crap. Oh well im done whining lol just have to put on more clothes! to all that's going I wish you all good luck and we will see ya there.

Been good here too, till 2 weeks ago. And the tracking is getting tougher. Everyone was saying in mid Dec that the coon were rutting in OH, IN, and IL. But they weren't here. Night before last seen 3. But we had a warm up come through.

Morgan Branch;
Tell Brittany GOOD LUCK with Boss in the winter classic. He is capable of doing it, but the coons have to be moving, and it takes a lot of luck even with a good dog. It will be a lot different hunting in Arkansas than Iowa and you will be an outsider. Need good guides capable of putting you in coons also, not just someone there to collect their guide money.

Good luck down at the Winter Classic! You have as good of a chance as anyone else. Call the dog that is all you can do. Hope you have a good hunt winning is just a bonus.
Look up Jody Sigler while you are down there he will be hunting a male named Devo. He is a littermate brother to Boss. Best looking pups in the litter and both turned into coon dogs.

thank you Alan and scott we are looking forward to it.Win lose or draw it will be a good time some of my very best friends have been met through coonhuntin. Bailey is in for a time she has a nice enough hound but still has a lot to learn but its all about the memories made cause someday that's all she will have is the story to tell my grandkids.
Bobby I was actually wantin to hunt tonight some of my best chases are on a snowy night like tonight,but this is my week on call and the water mains have been breaking like crazy worked 17 hours sunday ,13 today and as I sit here and type this work just called and im headed back in sounds like its gonna be a long night but it is payin for my trip to the W.C. catch ya all later back to work !!!!!

You and Bailey are going with the right attitude of win, loose, or draw, but I would take Boss's chances over most dogs there. Not to say he will win it, but is a coondog. The main thing is to have fun and enjoy yourselves. One of these day's it suddenly hit's you that age has caught up with you and only the good friends and memories is left. Have a ton of good friends I have made hunting these old potlickers. Sure glad Bailey and you got Boss as that was the #1 criteria that he went to a good home, sure liked him.

Thanks Alan Boss is sure enough a nice hound. I lost my dad when he was 53. He was my very best friend and the thing I learned is enjoy life while you can cause in a flash it can all be gone and someday in fact almost every day all you have is the memories we made together. Taking a 15 yr old girl to the winter classic as her 2nd hunt prob isn't the smartest thing ive ever done but I have the vac time and can afford it so off we go!!! We are not promised tmro life can change dogs can pass on and may not have the opportunity again so we are gonna go and have some fun see some old friends and hopefully make some new ones.With any luck she will have a good hunt she has a dog that is more than capable and as long as she calls the dog for what he is doing she will do fine and shake hands when it is all said and done. Maybe someday she will tell my future grandkids about the great time we had at the W.C.

I never expected to change a dedicated black and tan man to blue but it has happened.
You can't find any better man than Mike.
He is a great friend and he is packing some nice dogs!
I am very excited he is going to the winter classic and bringing his family.
