Shane and Mac in top 16

Shane and moonlight outlaw Mac got in the top 16 with a big cast win last night at the acha world championships
This is Shane's 3rd top 16 with a redbone at a world hunt in 12 months great job and good luck tonight

Both ...but the dogs had several in there family trees that have been at that level I beleave I said a world ch redbone would come from macs litter when we did it 😎
I don't know if Shane can say that of his family tree
I think Lisa won a world title with Mac lol

Top level competition from both dogs and handler in the semi finals.
in this cast Mac went up against
Bryan Whitted and Bad to The Bones Black Hawk
Scott Engle with Mojo's Tazzy
Ron Cundiff with Roger Dale Carnegie's old Deep South Sadie
all of these dogs and handlers have won plenty...but I was proud of Mac and he came out on top to earn his place in the top 16.

When the top 16 were drawn out I drew more top dogs including 2014 UKC World Champion Keegan's Letting Loose Lyla.
We didnt get into a lot of coon and dogs were constantly split in different directions. Mac and Lyla tied, neither had any minus so it came down to circle and Lyla won the tie breaker for a ticket to the final four.

Mac's performance was only good enough for 8th place...(same as I won with Ky Moonlight Woody last year....but the memories and the chance to see him go head to head against proven top level competition and hold his own was priceless

back in July after a long hard night of hunting. They made me and Danny Biggert proud and won the 2015 AKC Ladies World Championship....just look at that hardware!
and dont forget...Lisa also won the 2013 AKC Ladies World Championship with a different redbone....Gr.Nt.Ch Ky Moonlight Breanna...and won 2015 PKC redbone days with a pup out of Breanna named Gr.Nt.Ch. Outlaw Cherry Bomb, who is a half sister to Mac...

So to answer your question Richard....if they didnt predict Lisa would be a world champion handler when she was born...they surely know it by now :P

Gonna load up Cherry, Mac and a young dog out of Woody x B.j. and head northwest to Wisconsin this week... First time for Mac so we will see how he does on those big cornfed hill coon...

I don't remember the hills being that big and steep last time up here. Mac kicked my butt tonight. 5 Trees and 3 coon seen. Sore feet and legs for this golf cart player.

Adam, I dont kill many coon...any time of the year.
But you are gonna get your chance to see Ol Mac in action first hand in a couple of weeks when I bring him down there for you to hunt. You keep him a few months and hunt him in those mountains and see how he measures up and if he can get the job done on those hard running mountain coon. Take him for a spin at the Grand American and any other hunts you want to lead him to and I will be down to pick him up at southern redbone days in February....our snow should be melted off by then
