Anyone lease their hunting truck?

I'm considering leasing my next truck for the primary reason of peace of mind on long road trips.
BUT....what I'm most worried about is that it seems whenever you go to a hunt, someone has to park on top of you and their dog jumps all over the side of your truck.
Anyone here had to deal with a leased truck and the dog scratches that are bound to happen? (My dogs will do it to) The dealer assures me minor scratches aren't a big deal and anything worse is fine as long as it's handled through insurance.
Anyone have personal experience with leasing your hunting truck?

rent the truck

Rent the truck and buy the extra insurance and drive the crap out of it most rental agencys will have I nice truck or will get a nice full size truck for you to rent if they ain't got one ..dog scratches no bogie you paid extra insurance which most time if you run it threw car wash you will get renters insurance $ back as well ..

Also not shure if you have a plenti card you scan this card at drug stores and exon gas stations as well as list off other stores and you build up points points are good for takeing money on other items bought in drug store and other stores but also good at enterprise rent a car for money of car rental ...I think you can build points buy renting a car and scanning points but haven't read that far ahead on benefits ...

Steve, how long ago did you lease a truck? Was it within the last 5 yrs? I know leasing was ugly years ago.

At over $100/day + motels and meals, renting a pickup for a 2-5 wk road trip a few times a yr is a very expensive option, even with my discounts.

Hi Joe!

I rented a new Trunda to take to the Winter Classic in Ms. It was @300.00 for the week unlimited mileage. If it breaks down they bring you another truck.Buy or lease a new truck you are stuck till you can get it fixed. My wife and I rent a car or truck for long trips.Never had any trouble with them.

In any deal , someone comes out on top and someone don't. They wouldn't lease them if they weren't coming out on top !

I've leased hunting trucks and never been screwed, just for the simple fact I didn't turn em back in. I ended up selling one and the other one I bought. If u turn it in at the end of the term the dealership wins.

They will gouge you for every scratch and dent. Then the wear and tear on the interior. My hunting truck gets abused. I would never lease a truck even if I didn't hunt out of it.
