Big time winners

Looking back at all the big hunts and world hunts, you see more males that's have won through the years.. Is it because every body is trying to make a winner out of a male to have the "next BIG TIME Stud".. But you have to think to go to the world you'd bring your best dog.. Is it better males than females or what?

.

Remember this, the female twice a year takes herself out of competition. If you breed her then there is another extended period she is not at the hunts.

Trust me to put these dogs in hunts at a high level it takes preparation. Many nights in the woods. This year we could not hunt the female we wanted to hunt in the PKC world hunt because she was bred. Earlier in the year we drove 800 miles to a hunt to have a female come in heat. The back up male did good but I think the female could have done just as good. In two days I am leaving for SC for a three day hunt. Female I wanted to take is still on puppies and not in shape as my plans to get her ready didn't work out like I wanted and I didn't want to jeopardize the puppies health in any way.

Me and my handler have discussed just pushing males because of the down time these females give you.
