I'm thinking of replacing the engine in a ford ranger, wondering if jasper is the way go. 3.0

I think I will go with a jasper, the truck is in great shape other then the engine and it's paid for, don't really want a truck payment, I'd rather spend the money on a hobby.

How much do the jasper engines cost now ? i know they are real good engines but a few years ago some of the kin blew their truck up and we ended up going with a Autozone long block for about half the cost of the jasper and it has i think 130.000 miles now, just something to think about if the prices are still the same as they use to be.

put a 3.0 in my ranger from advanced.1700 dollars three year unlimited miles. My brother is a mechanic and has lnstalled a few bad ones from everywhere.Jasper would reimberse the cost on a bad engine.

If water pump ever goes bad check timing cover behind fins on waterpump, they can carve a groove in aluminum cover letting antifreeze in oil slowly which takes out the lower bearings first.
