Pretty much the only show I watch is Justified on FX. It's set in Harlan county Kentucky, any one from around there? I know it's not actually filmed there but are problems with oxy like they lead on? Just curious, pretty country though.

harlan is where my dads side was born and raised . wallins creek and blk mountain . still have alot of my kin there . i like to visit bot would never want to live there. pills and weed and moonshine thats the economy there with SSI. and welfare. there is some wrk tthere but not much to speak of

Good show I watch it every chance I can or Dvr it for later. It's sad but true Narcotic Pill abuse is Nation wide and one of the most addicting things to do. People are killing,stealing,prostituteing, and fakeing pain just to get a fix.

My friend Tabitha can sing really, really good. She sung some song for us the other night about a town called "Harlan". No music at all, just acapella. It was Beautiful. Something about You'll never leave Harlan alive.

Sad but true. The drug problem is strong. But I believe no more than some of the big city's and other areas of the country. As for the lack of jobs, we can thank the EPA and Obama for that. Coal mining is (was)the strong industry in Harlan. And now 95% of the deep mines have shut down thanks to high regulations and so called clean energy acts.
