I didnt know Mr. Nation personally but I remember a nice hound by the name of Pretty Boy Ugly and I think he was owned by bart and was out of Hardwood Buster,....who sired Flatrock Coma...My guess is Coma would be your link back to his dogs

I seem to remember he owned a blue dog that did little bit of winning, Spanky, I thank Dave Dean ended up with him.

Spanky dogs are still around today one won a big a $kc hunt last yr they come every color come bluetick mainly but a few of the people that hunt for big ? Have crossed spanky on other breeds to inhance traits they want in there dogs ...
