Need opinions on boxes please

I'm in the market for a new aluminum dog box, and I was wondering what yall's opinions were. I've never had one, just wood and sheet metal. Who makes the best aluminum box with top storage for a small truck? For those of you that weld and have bought a box, would you do it all over again and just make one yourself?

I haven't heard much good about owens. People talk about the welds busting in the corners. How about diamond deluxe? Any opinions on them?

Only had my Seneca for a few months but really like it so far. Seneca is insulated a whole lot better than the others mentioned and I'm sure the hounds appreciate that.

I like my diamond deluxe

The only thing I had to get used to is the door latches especially when handling multiple dogs.

I do not see prices or dimensions of the boxes on the web site.

Also are there more pictures of the dog boxes... like the inside of the box and storage... what are the venting options?

I just bought my first all aluminum box. Just because it was new and I got a heck of a deal on it. Its a Ross box. Doesnt have much insulation though but its lite I can handle it alone. It dont get real cold in Ga. So the insulation doesnt bother me.

It all depends. Are you looking for a rigging box or just a top storage?

I have an f&t rigging box that I like real well. I also have an Owens single box that I love and won't sell. I've had the Owens for 6 years and no hastle. All the welds on it are in good shape. The f&t, I like but it took a while to get used to it. Its kinda heavy. And its way too much to lift for one person.

I buy my boxes custom from a guy named Will Hinkle in FL. He makes a load full of boxes and then delivers them around the South Easter US. His welds are better that professional boxes; he builds exactly what you want.

If you have face book, look up Will Hinkle or WH2. Ive seen pictures of boxes that he even wired lights inside the boxes for night. If you want me to, Ill text you a couple pics of the box he build me. Just let me know. It may take him a month or a little longer to get the box built, but he has a steady list of boxes to build.

Send me a PM for his phone number or pics of my box.

I'm just looking at a normal top storage box, rigging rack would be nice but not a necessity as I don't have bear dogs of my own and I free cast my coonhounds. I need some insulation though. It gets cold in these mountains.

That's not a bad looking box and for 450 that's a good deal.
