The only thing that ive ever seen work is to tie 2 piece of chain on collar 14 to 16 inches long heavy enough to thump him in the face when he jumps.

If I was gonna try the chain thing. I would make dog wear it from tailgate to tree. Dont snap it to em once you get to the tree.

I have had success curbing, the problem I have ran into is when she gets putting into a cast, due to the extra excitement she start jacking again. Obv when in a cast is the most important time for her not to do it.
I have had the most luck just spending time with her on tree, if she jumps I switch her backside, and say down.

Yes just hyper actions at the tree last night was on a sloping tree over a bank and he was up and down the tree falling on the other hound. He never stops treeing but with most dogs this is a problem.

The dog I was asking about runs the tree squats and jumps and runs around the tree. He does it some by himself but worse when another dog backs him

YEP

My thought also. down my way we would call that a climber. Now tree jacker is way different than that.
I have only broke one tree jacker and he is in my pen now, CAN'T STAND IT EITHER , he will not jack the tree now BUT he just stands at the tree and trees and not real good at that either if you brake them and I mean brake them it take a lot of treeing out of them BUT he wont get in trouble either. To me a tree jacker will get a lot of dogs to doing something they usualy wont do. FIGHT. JMO. which now days ain't worth much.

It's a pic, The dog Jacks( use to jack) bad. He gets a 3 foot running start jumps up the tree. He don't climb the tree, I climb trees for a living I know the difference lol.

Tree climber,
Big difference. A dog that climbs don't jack they dig there claws into the tree and climb up. Or look for anything ( low limbs, logs or leaner trees to climb up). A jacker bounces up and down as high as they can up the tree. The worst ones I call tree runners will start away from the tree get a running start and run up the tree as far as they can.
