4 dog cast, dog a struck for 100, b for 75, c for 50, A,B,C are declared treed A 125 B 75 C 50, dog c leaves and is minused by judge, handler then trees dog c right handed another 100 yards, Dog D is shutout and declared struck and treed with dogs A and B after Dog C has been minused on that tree. Dogs are handled A,B,D's tree is slick. Dog C has a Coon.

Dog A -225
Dog B -150
Dog C +125
Dog D -50

Am I right?

Handler of dog D claims he should be at -25 minus, but since dog c is minused before dog d is treed I say dog c's tree points become available again.

I think handler D is right. 25 points is all that would be available until that tree is scored.

hmm,I guess I thought after dog c had been minused for 3rd position, then dog d was declared treed that 3rd would be available. I thought I seen in the rule book that once points have been scored they become available again...
