Nite Time Hunting Supply makes a super tough Badland chap that does fray and pill and get the holes that the others tend to get. They aren't any heavier or bulkier in my opinion. You can get them on a variety of boots too, Mucks, Ranger, Tingly, Lacrosse, Quatro, Bekina... Plus you just won't find nicer people to deal with. They are busy folks, so if you have to leave a message, be patient, they'll get back with you, and I wouldn't expect you'll be disappointed in the service or the product.
