Tone/shocked

Can a dog be toned or shocked to make come in after the hunt is up. I'm talking before score card is handed in etc. I don't have a problem with it but just curious.

Also

I think a lot of dogs are being either shocked or toned for different things, lol. I'm pretty sure I seen it happen in a cast I was in but didn't push it but my main thing is after the hunt can u. I know u can't during time outs and such but how bout when ur following the judge/guide down the road and he pulls over and her comes his dog crawling Into u, lol. I mean really I'm not crying but heck some dogs R trained to come in when u tone them so what if there treed next to a dog in a cast and that person sneaks and tones his dog cause he came in after the five and he don't want him on the tree. I just think shock collars should not be allow in the hunts, to many are starting to abuse them. Or make them lock the receiver up in dog box or something . Sorry for venting on you all

You would have to have walked to the truck to get the handheld to do that with because if the dog is wearing a collar capable of shocking or toning you can't have the control on your person during the hunt. As long as you left it in the truck you can do what ever you want after time has expired.

If you mean you were driving behind that judge not just walking down the road I'm pretty sure he was legal there. He still wasn't necessarily carrying it during hunt time.

Just saying!!

If you guys need to come up with all these ideas on how to play the rules and new gadgets, maybe looking at what you have on the end of your leash would help. I've been a master of hounds for almost 40 years, and a real COONDOG will win most of the time using the rules as they are written. They are not all that complicated. I'm just saying, hunt a good dog and follow the rules. Don't hunt a Sh!t eater and play with the rules. You will have a lot more fun. If your hound is not quite ready, work on him til it's time to put him in the hunts.

Two different

Situations. During timeout when u got hour running on you and there's still time left how would it be fair or legal to use a device to get u get your dog back when other cast members are following you. Most have been there when they say they can drive around closer to get there dog.

The other one is when hunt is up I thought u were allowed to use it but wanted to be sure. And as far as texting your buddy after the hunt well what would keep them from doing it during the hunt or on timeouts.

What rule says you can not use a shock collar during timeouts?

You are allowed to use any means to get your dog back with in the hour you should be in time out when the hunts over something. As far as using cell phones or shockers during hunt time the handler should be scratched. the problem with these hunts nobody wants to confront the cheaters so the cheaters keep on cheaten

Better read rule 17 Controlling Devises. You use a shocker before the hunt is over, you are done.

You can use a controlling device if all other dogs are handled, and you are scratched that is in rule 17

Exactly! Aside from that, you can't it use till the hunt is over.

End of lead

I'm pretty confident what's on the end of my lead I just hate to tone break him to come to me while I'm pleasuring when I need him too and somebody's back up handler at the truck get a text to tone his dog for some reason it be treed with mind and mind hear his dogs tone and both come in. Like at end of hunt dogs be a mile in there I got mind treed in and if coon is found I win. Yeah there's people pulling those tricks. But that's why I guess till shockers and toners are banned from even being on a dog I'm not traing mind that way, lol. But you folks will soon see what I'm talking bout it's spreading pretty fast

Tim you could not be more right on for there are 10 or more different ways around different rules with tracking shocking and Garmin's being used illegal in todays hunts.

Would you have ever won the ukc world hunt with Jane if the Garmin's and shocker rules were then like they are today I really doubt it imo.
Good subject Tim I hate ever thing about Garmin's and shockers for what that's worth I just soon have the old beep -beep collars.lol.

Once I hear the judges watch go off im gonna do what I want to with mine. I dont train mine to come to no tones or shocks any way. You shock or tone mine he will be in another zip code. I like what the other guy said. I dont care if you have 10 shockers and 3 garmins it takes a coon dog to beat me. If we are on a time out and u cant catch your dog ill help you cause I dont want to win cause u couldnt catch your dog during the hour. Too much crying about jimmy cheated me or jimmys dog is mean. Jimmy is winning maybe you need to be happy for jimmy and congratulate him and take your $$$ home and work on ole blue before u put him back into the shark tank. Im not saying your like this or anything like that. Im just saying theirs so much whinging over these hunts it makes me sick at my stomach. If you KNOW your getting cheated man up and say something then dont wait till the hunts over and talk about it to your buddys. You can beleive if I feel like im getting the shaft everybody out their will know it.
