dog a an b strike. then tree.. dog c then strikes an trees.. tree closed head in.. dog a leaves tree an goes down creek .. i minus her.. she my dog.. handlers go in an handle dog b an c.. come out then dog a returns.. an handled.. tree is slick.. judge says minus dog a strike points.. i ask how cuz tree was closed when she returned.. he said slick tree she is minus.. didnt change outcome of hunt. but whats right answer. i said she is deleted for being handled on closed tree

Rule 5 b...pg 54
No dog to recieve minus points for coming into tree after judge arrives unless a coon is seen and the dogs treeing are awarded plus points

thats what i said.. they told me since she was there before that she is minused.. i said she left.. tree is still closed.. an she came back after other dogs were handled...

i showed them the rule on back of card an they said it was wrong an she is minused.. one guy said he called ukc in a erlier hunt about it, an they told him it was mius.. i said well the rule is there that says no mius givin to dog coming in after judge arives unless coon is seen

Dog A was minus for leaving the tree before the cast arrived. Dog does NOT receive a second set of minus tree points for coming back to the tree AFTER the cast arrives. Strike points are deleted or circled Don't have rules in front of me right now but are very clear on the back of the card.

Bill has the correct answer. 125- for leaving tree. She came in to the tree after the judge arrived so Rule 5(b) applies. Circle strike points.

And for the record, no one at UKC would have told anyone that the dog should receive minus strike under these circumstances. Must be the guy that called the office on Saturday and spoke with someone.

Thank you. I also explained this to them . They wanted to minus an I said u can't an showed them. An thanks alan. I also told them that there was no way ukc would have told them that when the rule is in blk an white on back of score card.. thanks again guys . An thanks for ukc answer on this alan
