Do you recognize this dog’s tattoo?

A Treeing Walker Male from the Portland, Indiana area has been adopted and the new owner would like to determine his pedigree and registration status. The dog has the following tattoo in his ear:

EDMC

If you recognize this tattoo, please contact Elizabeth at 260-580-7923 with whatever information you can provide.

Thank you!

This very well could be a tattoo from a college that uses hounds for labs or research for teaching purposes....I would think the new owner could get info from the place where this hound was adopted. Good rescues and facilities should keep records to trace where these animals come from. I'd check with any colleges near by that teach veterinary or animal technicians....and just ask the lab people if they have a certain tattoo. just a suggestion.

Jerry, the dog likely originated from Ed Mc Cormick in AR. I spoke with Ed and can pass on a little information, that may or may not be helpful, to whomever needs it. Ed thinks he could probably identify the dog by a photo. He also confirmed that he has sold a few different dogs to buyers in Indiana.

Who knows... worth a shot.

That's Ed's tattoo for sure. He lives a few miles from me and there are more than a few dogs around with that mark in their ear. Ed has sold a bunch of them over the years so without a little history he may or may not remember the particular dog. I can probably get you a phone number for him if you have any difficulty coming up with it.
