do they use the same trails?

I do a lot of road hunting. I"ve noticed that a lot of times when my dogs strike, there is a game trail that crosses the road. I think deer use them but I wonder if fox, coon, possum, bear use them too. it might be interesting to put a trail cam up just to find out. my dogs have used them but I've never seen the dogs chase a deer across the road.

once anything busts through any rough spot or weeds or brush you can see just about any critter using it and if you ever watch when they doze a logging road through the woods it will be covered with tracks over night ..
a lot of critters will take the easy path when they find one on the other hand they will be some that want and coyotes, fox, bear, cats , will run game trails and most of them are looking for their next meal ..

Game Trails

I read a book by a pro coon trapper from Iowa & he takes 500 to 700 coons per year. He says that a coon always uses the same trail when he first leaves his den at night to go to water. Then he says most coons use 4 or 5 other game trails that they take back to dens later on at night. He traps many coon in the woods & trails leading to corn fields not even close to any creeks, rivers, or lakes. It's pretty easy to see & tell a well greased coon trails specially where they go thru high grass. Charlie Radtke

All game will travel path of least resistance most times. Even us. Only thing ive found that want is a mature whitetail buck. He will only for a week or so a yr. Rest of the time he stays in thicker stuff.
