Al this pup needs is confidence,if you would of givin this pup his first few racoon he would already have it, now the pup is confused and has started guessing,with no reward, and butt whoopins,no wonder the pup, and I mean pup is screwed up.
Dogs have to be confident in what they are doing, and by not being confident they run to another dog and either me too, or just follow , neither are a desireable trait.
I have never understood not giving a pup it's first coon it trees,it's like telling a kid they can go get a cookie, and then not letting them eat it, they would get discouraged in a hurry!
