hunt got ruined tonight.

got out little before dark with minn, trix, and dumb dumb sky. beautiful weather tonight wind was perfect at bout 15 mph, couldnt ask for nicer night. plenty bright but i dont mind that sometimes.

trix rigged off buggy after couple miles of just bumping around waiting to get dark. no track dogs just made circle and fell treed in washout full of junk, tree pile, and more junk bout 150 in. thought my dogs had been in every hole, brush pile, and junk pile in county but this was new one. LOL. sky really fired up could smell coon so was good but got em out of there. freecasted and dogs hunted together with minn and trix falling treed in unison on big cottonwood 600yds in. nice coon there then headed to water to cool dogs off. dogs to dumb to cool off and went hunting hard right away. old girls struck bad track and picked away at it, stupid pup even opened few times. they crossed road and got it moving good and phone kept going off. called hunting buddy back thats on vacation in texas and here his daughter run over one of his new cur pups thats same age as sky. he asked that if calls back his daughter would need help. got moved and within quarter mile of dogs and toned old girls. minn and sky came back on their track aways and then through open pasture towards me on road. trix was being awnry and had to shock off track and she followed woods back towards road with me screaming. sure enough she falls treed on a different coon, im sure just to spite me. other dogs raced up to her. found coon and collected dogs and got another call.

ran up to his place and looked for pup that got hit and its horrible wooly country right there so wasnt expecting much. nothing found so put collars on couple of his other dogs and let them run around area thinking maybe hit dog would hear them and follow out of woods. hated to but called his other dogs in while could. what a crappy deal. try to get up there tomorrow and look around some but she thought was solid hit. letting pups run free is ultimate way to let them learn and bring out hunting instincts but seems like when do cars are enemy number 1. had an awesome weekend of hunting but this sure made it end poorly.

few pics of the 3 good runs had tonight.
