Who messed up the Bluetick hunt Results

I think a lot of the info is spelled wrong I know I printed very clear that a 2 grader would not have a problem reading it and they spelled my name wrong,my address is wrong,my dogs name is wrong and they did not put my handlers name down ?

They type them off the Event Report in the wee hours of the morning after an incredibly long weekend. I know people don't believe it but MOH and UKC employees are human too and make mistakes. The Saturday night results are the worst to get in. You've typically got 3-4 hours of sleep in an uncomfortable, strange bed before being woken up by the association president or the MOH. You go the grounds still half asleep and have to pack everything, take pictures, answer questions, and post everything to the website in a timely manner so all the hunters who stayed home can read it at their earliest convenience. Oh, and when that's all done? You've got a 5-7 hour drive to get home and catch up on all the family time you missed while you were at the event hanging out with a bunch of coonhunters, most you don't know. The problem is you don't get to spend that time with your family because you're either wore out or somebody is worried that their name might be misspelled on the internet so you have to fix it before anything else is done.

UKC does a great job and they strive for perfection but we don't live in a perfect world. The mistakes will be taken care of before the results go to print and everything will be spelled correctly. It's not the end of the world; its just a coonhunt after all. This is Memorial Day weekend. Instead of worrying about the misspellings, be thankful the American Soldier laid down their life so we can have the freedom to coonhunt.

Oh and it is ironic that you misspelled 'results' in the thread name. It's easy to do and totally understandable. Just part of life.

I didn't do anything. I don't work for UKC and wasn't the MOH at Bluetick Days. UKC isn't copying off "a card" anyway. I tried to explain that they take their information from the Event Report which is filled out by either the MOH or his assistant. It's very possible the scorecard got dirty or smudged and messed up the sticker or the MOH just messed up after being up all night and placing all the dogs or his handwriting isn't the best.

If you're really that concerned call UKC tomorrow morning. It's a holiday and they aren't going to be on here checking things. They have moderators for that and they don't have access to the website.

Ultimately it isn't that big of a deal. In the picture spread in Coonhound Bloodlines they will take the information directly from their system and everything will be spelled correctly, provided it's spelled correctly on your registration papers.

Thanks Paul

For 'running interference' until the rest of us get woke up from a long weekend. I know Todd, Corey & rest of staff will get things corrected when it's time to get to work tomorrow.

starbluetick- They'll get things caught up when they get back on the job come Tuesday. I'm very happy to hear that it should have been legible to read because you may not realize how many are NOT!!! Like Paul said, they are reading from hunt report & as long as ukc # is correct & legible that is the most important part of getting credit for the placement. By the way, which dog are you refering to? Take care, Ron.

OK Bill

Now we are getting somewhere. They would have taken results from list of winner sheet I wrote down. They must have not read it right from my handwriting which is not understandable because my handwriting is very good too, but we'll get it corrected. Take care, Ron.

Had a little incorrect on Irene and she lives in Kansas. I wasn't bothered by anything but "Insane". That puts one in mind of a walker dog.

They may have not been able to read your writing, Dennis!!! I wrote down the male/female winners from Fri. night to have a list for King/Queen dogs for the MH to use Sat. I know that I wrote down Insane instead of Irene, so part of the blame goes back to you. It may have looked the same Sat., but they would have read the name off , when you came up for pics, so don't put all the blame on anyone else. Take care, Ron.

We hear this so many times after the Grand American.
My hat is always off to those ladies from Ukc who somehow manage to decipher ppls hand writing.

Our announcer just rolls his eyes at some of the hounds names and knows he's killing the name.

Its all good. At the end of the day its all just a bench show and a nite hunt.
