I've always heard there are two things no one wants to hear; bragging and complaining. I know there are people who are the best, have the best, and always do the best!! If you don't believe it, just ask them.

Me, I get excited when my dog, your dog, or anyone's dog does good. I have had some good hunts, and even talked about it on the message board, not to blow smoke, but old blue did good and that excites me!!! I don't lie about it, or exaggerate it, or embellish it, but I do get excited. When they do bad, I call it like it is.

When someone tries to tell you that I get on here and blow smoke b/c my dog wins a hunt, or does good, or receive an award, it's not because I'm bragging. They are dogs, and are capable of anything. They treed a coon...a coon, hardly worth bragging about. I have always heard it's not bragging if it's so.....it's telling the truth.

When coon hunting, or seeing a young dog do good, or watching an old veteran hound do his job CEASES TO EXCITE ME.......I will hang it up for good.

Mr Edwards I learned long ago that the jealous folks that never go to the hunts and win anything are always the ones crying about another man's success. Don't worry about what those folks think cause they don't pay your way and sure don't feed your dogs. Anyone in our breed should be happy to see another blue dog do good but there are those like anything else in the world that are so eat up with stupidity that they can't be happy for anyone else. The Bible says if they be ignorant to let them be ignorant! Smile cause there are way better things we should be concerned with and always pray for those that despitefully use you.

There is a big diff in them Mr Edwards one is acceptable and the other makes for quality entertainment and reading when the majority of folks see and smell the smoke

Telling about your hound may be considered bragging by some. Most of that "some" are jealous and will make statements like your dog is rough, they can't win when hauled, there a me too, silent mouth, babbling idiot, etc... Some may even post on this thread. Bottom line, your feeding the hound and he makes you proud when you snap your lead on him. I put the best coon catcher I ever owned in a grave last winter. Glad I got to enjoy thousands of hunts with him. The thing I miss the most is listening to him run a coon and that big locate. His high score was 13 trees with coon in all of them. That was fact and no bragging intended. God Bless
