Spectators ?????
I should probably just send this direct to Allen, but I always enjoy seeing how many interpretations of the rules I get on here first. Once upon a time, UKC rules included the blurb..."Handlers are responsible for {the actions of} their spectators." Maybe not those exact words but it translated to "handlers can be scratched if their spectator acts up."
I cannot find that in the rules anymore. It now has Rule 10: {A} thru {D}. Rule 10 {D} which says "spectators are otherwise held to the same rules and levels of conduct as handlers." O.K. but what do you do with one that has stepped over the line???? Previously, the handler was scratched and the hunt was over for him. Now, I don't know??? Do you ask/order the spectator to leave??? It aint like you can scratch a spectator, he's not in the hunt. So, how exactly do you "hold" one to anything???? Does nothing happen to the handler that brought a bad spectator???? If some action can be taken where is it in the rules???? What am I missing here????
Edit: Please spare us the guesses...Please quote the rule number and letter if you are going to post answers telling us what actions can or can not be taken.
